Kicker Rock, or León Dormido, is an iconic volcanic formation in the Galápagos Islands renowned as a world-class dive site. Its unique underwater channel, formed by eroded volcanic tuff, attracts an incredible diversity of marine life, including schools of hammerhead sharks, Galápagos sharks, rays, sea lions, and turtles. Diving here offers thrilling encounters with large pelagics, though strong currents, especially during the cool season, make it best suited for intermediate to advanced divers.

The species is currently listed as Endangered due to overfishing and low reproductive rates.
